My work is rooted in a creative background in fashion and textile design, where concept development and collection building play a central role. I am particularly interested in creating designs with a sense of history, while remaining both past- and future-oriented, translating cultural references into contemporary fashion products.
One of my key strengths is creating concepts and building collection lines by imbuing designs with a sense of history and continuity. As Geoffrey Chaucer once wrote, “There’s never a new fashion but it’s old.” I strongly believe that fashion is a balance between the past and the future. What makes a company truly relevant is its ability to take inspiration from its heritage and reinterpret it with a contemporary perspective. For this, I rely on archives, cultural references, and material exploration, while adapting designs to modern needs through lighter, more comfortable fabrics and thoughtful evolution rather than radical change.
Behind every garment, there is much more than creativity. There is research, textile innovation, and the technical knowledge developed by textile companies. Through my experience, I have learned that design is not only about visual expression, but also about understanding how ideas are developed into tangible outcomes. My interest in textile variation allows me to explore how fabric itself can become the main voice of a garment, shaping both its aesthetic and function.
I see designers not only as creators, but also as powerful communication tools who express and embody a brand’s values. My approach is inspired by clarity, precision, and purity in design. I am not interested in purely theatrical or conceptual fashion detached from function; instead, I focus on creating designs that are meaningful, wearable, and operational.
For me, the debate between nostalgia and modernity is fundamental. I use the past to look forward, maintaining a strong connection to cultural identity while responding to the present. I believe that unfinished designs lose their purpose, and I am committed to creating complete, refined work that balances beauty, function, and continuity over time
